No Sweethearts candy this Valentine's Day after company filed bankruptcy
The company that made the traditional Valentine's conversation hearts for more than 100 years went bankrupt last year.
The New England Confectionary Co. that also made NECCO Wafers, was bought by Ohio based Spangler Candy Company for $18.83 million at a federal bankruptcy auction back in May 2018.
The good news? Sweetheart lovers will see the conversation hearts making a comeback next year.
